Villa San Michele
In June 2008 I had the possibility to play at Capri in Italy. Stiftelsen San Michele was founded 1950 with the purpose to administer Axel Munthes donated property. The purpose was to cultivate the cultural connections between Sweden and Italy.
Every year several concerts are offered to recidents and visitors on the island. Together with the piano player Karin Haglund, I performed Rolf Martinssons flute Concerto “Shimmering Blue” in a small chapel with an amazing view over the sea. Since 1978, ten scholarships are being devided every year from Mr. and Mrs. Cederström-Wallengrens fond for shorter working periods on Villa San Michele. I can strongly recommend all those working on art projects to apply for this scholarship and therfore have an opportunity to stay on Capri.
